  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 tablespoon tallow (or turkey bacon grease)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • Kosher salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon until crispy and set aside.
  2. In a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, add tallow or turkey bacon grease.
  3. Sear the sirloin chunks on all sides until browned; remove from pot.
  4. Brown the ground beef along with optional spices for about 15 minutes.
  5. Return the sirloin to the pot and stir in beef broth.
  6. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer for 30 minutes.
  7. Crumble the crispy turkey bacon into the chili and mix well.
