  • 12 tsp vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup water
  • Optional: cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer fresh cherries with 2 tablespoons of water on low heat for 3-5 minutes until softened. Mash gently to release juices.
  2. Boil 1 cup of water and steep the Earl Grey tea for 3-5 minutes; remove the tea bag or strain out loose leaves.
  3. Pour milk into the saucepan with cherries and heat gently while stirring. Optionally add a cinnamon stick.
  4. Stir in vanilla syrup to the cherry-milk mixture, adjusting sweetness as desired.
  5. Pour brewed tea into a mug and strain the cherry-milk mixture into it. Stir well to combine.
  6. Serve hot or let cool slightly before pouring over ice for an iced version.
