- 1 cup warm whole milk
- 3 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 2–3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Combine warm milk and yeast in a large bowl.
- Add sugar, flour, egg, salt, and softened butter; mix until shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 15 minutes until smooth.
- Let it rise in an oiled bowl until doubled (about 90 minutes).
- Punch down the dough, shape into 12 rolls, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush with an egg wash made of egg yolk and milk.
- Allow to rise again for 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) during the last rise.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted garlic butter after baking.
