  • 1 salmon fillet (about 150-180g)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 lemon wedge (for serving)
  • 1 cup cooked white rice (jasmine or basmati)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions. Once done, fluff with a fork and keep warm.
  2. Pat the salmon fillet dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the salmon skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until fully cooked through.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic; cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Spoon the garlic butter over the cooked salmon.
  6. Serve the salmon on a bed of fluffy rice, garnished with fresh parsley and a lemon wedge.
