  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for cream cheese layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cream cheese layer)
  • orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix granulated sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla; stir until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy. Mix in orange food coloring until desired hue is reached.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Spoon dollops of the cheesecake mixture on top and add remaining brownie batter. Swirl together lightly.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Allow to cool before slicing.
