  • 1 cup Canned Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1 Egg (beaten for brushing)
  • Optional: Powdered Sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the canned pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and ground cloves until well combined.
  4. Cut the puff pastry into rectangles. Place a spoonful of filling on one half of each rectangle, fold over, and press down gently.
  5. Slice each rectangle into strips and twist before placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush each twist with beaten egg and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.
