  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough sheet
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey sausage until it’s browned. Break it apart as it cooks.
  2. Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  3. Scramble the eggs in another pan until just set; season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Unroll the crescent dough sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  5. Flatten the dough evenly with a rolling pin.
  6. Spread scrambled eggs evenly over rolled dough.
  7. Layer cooked sausage on top of eggs, followed by shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Roll the dough into a log from one long side.
  9. Slice into 1-inch rounds with a sharp knife.
  10. Place cut-side up in a greased baking dish or parchment-lined sheet pan.
  11. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on top.
  13. In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  14. Whisk in flour; cook for about a minute.
  15. Gradually add milk while whisking continuously until thickened.
