  • 4 vanilla beans (or 4 teaspoons vanilla extract)
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • Optional: 4 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea or 4 black tea bags
  • Sweetener of choice

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a small pot.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks and vanilla beans to boiling water. Turn off heat and cover, allowing to steep for about 10 minutes.
  3. If using black tea, add it now and brew for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  4. Heat the milk in another pot until warm but not boiling.
  5. Strain the infused mixture into the warm milk and stir well.
  6. Sweeten to your taste before serving hot or over ice.
